Annual Open House,Tuesday, May 8th, 2012
The Cape Cod Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) will host its annual Open House and Expo on Tuesday, May 8th, 2012 at the Holiday Inn, Route 132 / 1127 Iyannough Rd, Hyannis.
The Open House will run from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. The Open House is FREE to attend for the general public.
The Open House Expo will showcase local businesses and dozens of raffles donated by ABWA members and guests will go towards a number of $1,500 scholarships given out every year to Cape women advancing their education. Grand prizes in the past have included: iPad, Color Nook and flat screen HD TV.
The Open House is FREE to attend for guests, but members pay the standard dinner cost of $22 for early registration and $27 for late registration.
Cold and warm hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar is available.

Annual Golf Tournament
Our annual July Golf Outing provides members and guests alike the chance to gather and network in an informal and OUTDOOR! setting. This year, The Golf Club at Yarmouthport hosted over 30 members for golf, tennis and poolside lounging with a tasty dinner provided by Ardeo’s Grill at King’s Way.
Members Lisanne Miller and Heather Jackson coordinated the event, and all agreed the day was gorgeous, the food delicious, and the golf/tennis/pool very enjoyable.
Golf Outing 2011
Team El Presidente, led by our own Jane Bourette, came away with 1st prize in the golf tourmanent. Denise Dever claimed the Tennis Prize and Cheryl Sedaker stormed the field, earning a memorable Poolside Victory. This year’s raffle raised a record amount for our July meeting, and in conjunction with the outing profits, the funds raised made this one of our top 3 fundraising meetings of the year.
