American Business Women’s Association organizes meeting on "Cultivating the Customer Experience"on March 9th at the Hyannis Radisson

American Business Women's Association Organizes Open House at Hyannis Radisson on April 13th

The Cape Cod Chapter of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) will organize its annual Open House and Expo on April 13th, 2010 at the Radisson Hotel Hyannis, Garden Room, Iyannough Road (Route 28), Hyannis.

The Open House will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Open House is free to attend for guests, but members pay the standard dinner cost of $20 for early registration and $25 for late registration.

There will be an Expo during Open House where, for just $25, members can have booths showcasing their businesses. Reservation forms for booths are available online (Booth Registration Form) and must be mailed, with payment, to the address on the form in order to guarantee booth space. After March 10th, any remaining exhibit space will be made available for non-members.

One of the highlights of the evening is the raffle, where in addition this year we will also be choosing the winning ticket to our HP laptop raffle. Raffle tickets are available at one for $10 or three for $25. Contact Cheryl Sedaker if you've not yet bought your tickets or if you're interested in selling tickets at mstinfoil@comcast.net. We need everyone's help in gathering items for the regular Open House raffle, and forms are available online (Raffle Doantion Form). The form will need to be filled out and returned to Denise Dever by March 31st in order to be included in the booklet handed out at Open House every year.

All proceeds from the raffle go towards the three $1,500 scholarships given out every year to Cape women advancing their education. Featured speakers will include members of the ABWA Board, a scholarship winner and a member who has successfully grown her business through networking at ABWA.

To register for the meeting, please contact JoAnna Watson at (508) 685-6561 or send an email to reserve@abwacapecod.org. Dinner costs $20 for members and $25 for members without a reservation. Guests are free at the Open House. Reservations cut-off date: April 7th, 2010.

Mission
To bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition.

Chapter Membership. At ABWA's heart is our network of 1,400 local chapters where members meet monthly to learn, network and make friends. In chapters, members explore and test their abilities in a supportive and inspiring environment. By managing chapter meetings, working on committees and speaking before the chapter, members gain invaluable hands-on leadership experience.
